About Joe & Kathi Fox
Hello, we are Joe & Kathi Fox. We enjoy rural living in Southern California, yes there is such a place. Nearby we have the Nature Conservancy’s Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve and the Cleveland National Forest’s San Mateo Wilderness. We are homesteading today as we have been for the last 20 years. We feel it is a privilege to take care of this piece of the Earth. Mostly we are weekend warriors with our outdoor projects, but after 20 years, we have some accomplishments. The main on-going project is brush and weed clearance for both esthetic reasons and fire prevention. We are blessed with wonderful natural features as rock outcroppings and large individual boulders, native trees and shrubs to landscape with and around . We refer to the end results as “making parks.” We grow fruit on a couple dozen trees and another couple dozen grape and berry vines. We do organic vegetable gardening in raised beds and do our best at green living. Many of our neighbors raise or breed exotic horses, llamas, ostriches; we keep ourselves to two dogs at a time – currently two highly energetic and fast mixed terriors. In fact, just finished a large fenced-in yard to keep them safe in – there are abundant coyotes, some bobcats and mountain lion around, and not so dangerous rabbits, squirrels, lizards and snakes.
We sustain ourselves in our home-based business, or shall I say, businesses that are wholistic alternatives in their fields. TotalHealthFx provides therapy, treatments, consultation, and a wide variety of healthy goods to help our clients achieve greater natural health. TotalWealthFx, in which we are Independent Agents of United First Financial, provides the Money Merge Account, an online program that helps individuals and families payoff mortgage and other loans and credit cards in a fraction of the time, thereby saving an incredible amount of money otherwise slated as interest payments.
In our free time we have a wide variety of fun hobbies, avocations, and undertake many projects in and around the house. We hope to bring you many posts and pages showcasing the progress of these projects.
